Safety in the Fire

The feeling behind the work

Vibrant impasto textures in crimson, vermilion, and radiant amber evoke the ferocity of the furnace. Yet at the heart of the composition lies an oasis of calm turquoise and emerald, where the silhouette of Prophet Ibrahim kneels in peaceful prayer beside the divine command: “قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ” (We said: O fire, be coolness and peace upon Ibrahim). What was meant to destroy became a sanctuary of tranquility.
